At Tiffin University, we are confident that our students receive a real value for their educational expense. We also realize that the cost of any college education can seem significant.  However, careful planning and financial aid help to close the gap between the cost of your college education and your financial needs. You can start the financial aid process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Tiffin University also awards numerous grants, loans and scholarships. For specific information and/or qualifications, contact your admissions representative or the Office of Financial Aid. To note more than 90% of Tiffin University students received some financial assistance.

All first, second, and third-year students are required to live on campus unless permanent residence is within a 45 mile commuting distance. Real estate in Tiffin is very reasonable and rental properties are available in close proximity to the campus.

Single, double, triple, and quad-occupancy rooms are available in our seven residence halls, several houses and apartment buildings on campus. All on-campus facilities are non-smoking. Campus housing is equipped with cable and computer network access. Please note that campus housing is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our residential facilities are fully integrated.  We do not separate students based on class standing, an athletic participation, and so forth. If you know the person you would like to room with, you can request a specific roommate on your housing preference form. You may also make more general requests.  For example, you can request to room with someone in your major, sport, or activity. Our residence life staff makes every attempt to honor requests, but cannot make any guarantees, so it’s important that you make your special requests known early. Questions about housing visit the Residence Life page or email housing@pulintedz.com.

The campus observes a 24-hour visitation policy with no curfew. In our residential facilities, quiet hours are observed from 10:30 p.m. to 10:30 a.m. throughout the semester with extended quiet hours during finals. Students having visitors on campus overnight are required to sign them in with the resident assistant.

All Tiffin University students are permitted to have a vehicle on campus. There is parking adjacent to all residential facilities.

All students, faculty, staff and guests are welcome to dine at the Cole Dining Hall. Meals are served three times a day Monday-Friday, with brunch and dinner being served on Saturday and Sunday. The Cole Dining Hall service is buffet style with numerous choices and accommodations for any dietary needs. As a student living in university housing, you have a choice of several meal plans. Meal plans are also available for commuter students.

Study areas are available in the library and the Murphy Academic Support Center.

The Murphy Academic Support Center provides free tutoring services for on-campus and online students. If you are a student-athlete, your coach may require you to attend athletic study tables which are held in the Murphy Academic Support Center or in the Library.

As a student, you will find the faculty accessible and willing to help. All full-time faculty have office hours each week and are also available by individual appointment. You are encouraged to discuss questions or concerns with the professor.

The average class size is 20. Your largest class will be no more than 40 students. In upper-level classes, it is not unusual for classes to be just 12 or 15 students. This small class size allows for more personalized attention and the development of a repertoire between the students and the professor. We believe in connections between students and faculty, as well as your fellow classmates!
